Hybrid Couplers
COM-TECH Hybrid Couplers efficiently sum the power of a pair of power amplifiers. Thanks to Rack-Unit Connector Spacing, they can be conveniently plugged-in directly at the back of the amplifiers, avoiding the use of cables. Quick-Plug Connectors are available for a fast and lock-free connection.
Multicouplers
COM-TECH Multicouplers efficiently sum the power of several power amplifiers. Thanks the Rack-Unit Connector Spacing they can be conveniently plugged-in directly at the back of the amplifiers, avoiding the use of cables. Quick-Plug Connectors are available for a fast and lock-free connection. Available with both Quadrature and Progressive designs.
Splitters
COM-TECH Splitters divide the power into the correct number of outputs, driving the power amplifiers with accurately balanced amplitudes and correct phases, in order to be subsequently re-combined by Multicouplers with the highest possible efficiency. Available for both Quadrature and Progressive designs.
Quadrature Power Combination
Cost-effective solution to combine low and medium power amplifiers (ideal for air-cooled transmitters), which makes use of Quadrature Multicouplers and Hybrid Couplers. This system delivers the maximum possible Transmitter efficiency (Typical 99% – 0.04 dB overall I.L.), and a high port isolation (>30 dB), allowing partial operation and hot replacement of the amplifiers. Requires Quadrature Splitters. Implemented in MC Series Multicouplers and QS Series Splitters.
Progressive Power Combination
Innovative solution to combine high-power amplifiers (ideal for liquid-cooled transmitters), which makes use of Progressive Multicouplers and Hybrid Couplers. This system delivers the maximum possible Transmitter efficiency (Typical 99% – 0.04 dB overall I.L.), and a high port isolation (>30 dB), allowing partial operation and hot replacement of the amplifiers. Compared with Quadrature design, Progressive Power Combination handles a higher power, with smaller dimensions, and requires, on average, smaller loads. Integrated Liquid Cooled Loads are available as an Option. Requires dedicated Progressive Splitters. Implemented in MH Series Multicouplers and PS Series Splitters.
